According to the President Andrew Evelyn of the Rotary Club of Downtown Kingston this  webinar should go a far way in helping the public to put more emphasis on pursuing a healthy lifestyle which is the key to managing this disease.

Rotary Assistant Governor Dr. William (Bill) Aiken said “Our main presentations will be made by leading experts in the field such as Professor Errol Morrison, world-renowned diabetologist and President of the Diabetes Association of Jamaica. Professor Marvin Reid, a nutritional epidemiologist formerly of the Tropical Metabolism research Unit will also be making presentations on the role of diet in diabetes. Other experts will include gynaecologists, urologists, podiatrists, nurses, and community diabetes volunteers covering topics such as diabetes in pregnancy, erectile dysfunction, foot care, physical fitness and much more”.

President Neville Graham of the Rotary Club of New Kingston noted that one of the  special features of  Saturday’s World Diabetes day webinar will be testimonies by  patients who will be sharing their stories of how they successfully overcame the complications of this dreaded disease.
